Broidy Ortell

General Manager

Broidy started his career in the financial world and has a lot of experience in financial marketing. Later moving into a role as a Logistics Administrator, he became especially involved in organising concerts. He has excellent leadership and management skills and above all is very compassionate and shows great empathy towards both residents and staff alike.

Sencit Resthaven is extremely privileged to have Mr. Broidy Ortell as the General Manager of the facility.

Enid Kok

Enrolled Nurse

Enid has worked as a staff nurse for many years, with her career beginning at Tygerberg Hospital.

She acquired her passion for the aged while working for Sencit from 2000 to 2007, when she departed the organisation after 7 years to join another old age home.

Now back with Sencit, Enid is incredibly sympathetic and loves the elderly: she admits she always knew her path would end up back with us!

We count ourselves extremely fortunate to have someone as knowledgeable as Staff Nurse Enid on our team.

Alfred Swarts

Chef

Climbing his way up the culinary ladder, Alfred Swarts has numerous years of experience to his name, including having worked at Food Lover's Market as Head Chef before making his culinary move to picturesque wine estates such as Asara in Stellenbosch.

Before joining Sencit, Alfred worked as Head Chef at hotels such as Krystal Beach and the Villa Via Hotels: though he has been cooking up a storm in our kitchens for the past 5 years.

We are beyond privileged to have Alfred with us, here at Sencit Resthaven.

Before joining our team in October 2022, Charlotte worked as a Unit Manager at different Retirement Villages and she brings a major contribution to our team with extensive knowledge of Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease, frail care, palliative care and strokes.
